Let’s go LEGO Robotics crazy this October.

In our interactive LEGO holiday club we will be using LEGO WeDo 2.0 to learn hands on engineering skills and develop programming ability.

Children will be set a series of challenges throughout the day, they will create their models and then use LEGO’s icon based programming language to control their models via bluetooth. Once their inventions are on the move they’ll investigate how they can improve the builds.

Can you make your dinosaur roar? Can you manipulate your cars gears to make it go faster? Can you create your own moving train? The options are endless!

We’ll also be creating video games in our ACTION PACKED day. Using a new intuitive platform for creating video games. When we build games, we become the writers, artists, designers, and developers of our own interactive stories.

It all starts with an idea! The resources encourage collaboration while guiding you through a design thinking process. Using the a gameboard and physical blocks, you’ll have the power to create your own 13-bit layouts, characters, and art for a game. With our VR app, you can instantly turn the physical creations into a digital game. In the app, you’ll edit and customize everything – what it looks like and how elements interact and behave.

You’ve never seen game design like this before!

We’ll have plenty of screen breaks and lots of collaboration between groups. There’s usually a competition or two thrown in to test our creations to the max.

All you need to bring is a packed lunch and your enthusiasm.

We will provide plenty of water and fruit for snacks on the day.
